Radio Station Pays Girls' Cookie Fine

The two girls who were sued (and lost!) for baking their neighbor cookies have had their fine paid by listeners of KOA-AM radio in Colorado. They raised $1900 to pay the $980 fine, the rest going to a Columbine victims charity. There are some choice quotes from Wanita Young, the sad sad "victim" of the case, who was so magnanimous and taught those young women a lesson:
"The victory wasn't sweet," Young said. "I'm not gloating about it. I just hope the girls learned a lesson."

"This has turned into quite a fiasco. It's something that never should have happened and it's just devastating. My phone hasn't stopped ringing. My life has been threatened and I'll probably have to move out of town."
Well damn. Maybe you should have thought about that before
FREAKING SUING THEM!

The girls even offered to pay her medical bills! She probably thought she was going to win the lottery in court, then only got $900 and a ton of bad karma.
